We've decided to get the smaller house so that we have a cheaper payment. By the time insurance and taxes and PMI got added on the payment was much higher than we wanted to pay for the bigger house. It was becoming not worth it. Of course we're dealing with a modular salesmen so he's not giving out info all at once. He said the payment is around where you said you wanted it. The payment was going to be $930 a month. I had said I wanted our payment to be $800 to $900, $900 being the uppermost we would be willing to pay a month and pushing it so $930 would definately be over that! The smaller house could put us down around $800. Its so aggravating because I had already decorated the bigger house in my mind and now I have to start over.

I do get to keep the options I had already picked out, like vinyl and carpet and cabinets. Here is the vinyl, carpet and paint chips I've picked out.


Our kitchen will be the red. I love red. The rest of the house will be the tannish color with an accent wall in the dark chocolate brown.
