I stopped into Sam's Club this afternoon in the middle of a crazy thunderstorm. It was my first visit as a member and I was excited to show my card.

As I was leaving, an elderly woman I have never seen before came and stood very close to me.
As she buttoned her coat she leaned in even closer, "Honey," she said softly.

"Yes?" I asked.

"A woman just told me there is a tornado warning. You be careful going home."

I found myself stating reassuringly, "I am going right home," as if she were my grandmother.

If I had known that was the difference in the caliber of people from Walmart to Sam's Club I would have signed up a long time ago.
