I realized as I read back over my last few posts that I sound pretty irritable right now and pretty down on turning 30. Well, I have been irritable lately so take that. I've also been extremely busy and I'm the type of person who needs a large amount of alone time. When I don't get that alone time I get a tad bitchy. Or a lot bitchy.
Anyway, none of my irritaions at the outside world have anything to do with turning 30. It is a bit of a mortality slap in the face. After all, you can act like a kid after 30 but you can't be a kid again. There is something about 30 that makes older people say ok, you've had just enough life experience to qualify for one Wisdom point. Assuming, of course, that the older people have participated in a role playing game and would know what an experience point is.
I'm actually looking forward to 30 because, really, were your twenties all that great? What with all the learning and finding of yourself? And hangovers? Honestly, the thirties sound like a break. Unless we have children. That sounds like a lot of work and from what I've seen and heard, not a lot of fun.
